My Path to Peace

I know what it’s like to look like everything's fine on the outside, while feeling disconnected and stuck on the inside.

On the surface, everything looked good—two wonderful sons, a successful career, travel, adventure, and friends. But beneath the surface, I carried a quiet sadness, confusion, and a persistent sense of disconnection that had been there since very early childhood. I coped with these difficult feelings by not looking inward but numbing through staying busy striving, achieving, and wearing self-sufficiency like a badge of honor. It worked—until it didn’t.

In my mid-forties, I entered a prolonged season of emotional upheaval and grief. My immediate family navigated unforeseen personal challenges, I served as a caregiver through a long and critical illness, buried the five most meaningful men in my life, and stepped away from a 30-year career that had once defined me. The culmination of these events leveled me, and the life I had built no longer reflected who I was becoming. I found myself longing for clarity, peace, and deeper purpose—but first, I had to face the parts of myself I’d buried long ago.

That search led me inward. I had explored healing in the past and had garnered head knowledge, but lasting transformation always felt just out of reach. When I discovered the Enneagram, something shifted. This powerful framework and tool helped me uncover the unconscious patterns that had quietly shaped my thoughts, relationships, and reactions for decades. It gave language to the blind spots that had kept me stuck—and offered a path toward clarity, healing, self-compassion, and peace.

As I released old narratives, something beautiful happened: space opened for faith to take root. Though it came later in life, my faith is my anchor—offering strength, grace, and a sense of belonging that self-reliance never could.

Today, I live with presence, clarity, and contentment. And as an Enneagram coach, it’s my privilege to walk alongside others on their own journeys—to help them uncover what holds them back and to help guide them toward lives of purpose, connection, and peace. If you're longing for a more grounded, authentic, peaceful life—I’d be honored to support your journey.
